To begin with,be good to yourself. In hustle of chasing your dreams, people tend to forget about smiling.
You would see people who have everything in life yet they are unhappy. They are so busy in accumulating things and maintaining possessions that they are never able to take out time for themselves . In the greed of more and more, they have no time to cherish for what they own now. Enjoying a day by partying and get-togethers’ is not happiness which is too common nowadays. Happiness is something which you own and which is all within you.
1. Dressing up.
No matter how you feel, you will always feet better when you got up and freshened up.Wearing well fitted clothes makes you look better, thereby making you feel better about yourself and lifting your mood and confidence. Picking colors according to your mood will always make your day a lovely one, I think this is a very doable tip to start your day with on a good note.
2. Following a ritual
Following a ritual can give you a sense of stability. It helps when you find yourself clogged at any stage of life.
Ritual can be in the form of a mantra. You may follow it regularly and set a time for it during a day which will help in uplifting you whenever you feel you are drowning.
For me it was- “God grant me serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and wisdom to know the difference.”
3. Smiling More
Science says the external expressions of smiling muscles contract. It stimulates the reward system in the brain further increasing the level of happy hormones. We can say that smile can also make our brains happy.
Prefer to always pass a smile to people you know around yourself. This way even you are reminding them for smiling. You can keep a ‘me time’ to do things which makes your brains’ happy and help you smile.

4. Appreciate the small things in life
Nowadays, everybody celebrates big accomplishments paying no attention to the small achievements which made them achieve bigger ones. The things that matter the most are the small ones. Celebrating these smaller joys make you self-motivated, contented and gratified.
Gratify the blessings you get on birthdays, festivals and from elderly people.
5. Surround yourself with happy people
There’s an old saying that we become like those we choose to hold closest.
It is very important to be surrounded by happy people. Presence of toxic people can really impact you negatively. You should equate with happy and positive people. Yow will always look forward to people who make you smile . Make them a part of you and start living joyously. Maintain distance with toxic people and choose people wisely.
